The Most Beautiful City – Rio de Janeiro

A Brazilian city, located at the heart of the Southeastern region, Rio de Janeiro is named as the most beautiful city in South America. With its 2 million foreign tourists and 5 million local ones, this metropolitan is indeed worthy of the title.

So what’s inside this beautiful city? Well, just among the top visited sites are the Statue of Christ Redeemer, a prominent structure on top of the Corcovado Mountain and is now one of the Seven Wonders of the World; Sugar Loaf Cable Car, one of the first cable cars in the world which is a great way to see Rio de Janeiro; Samba City, a new addition to the city’s infrastructure which was built to acknowledge the city’s sacredness, being the birthplace of Carioca Samba.

The Ipanema beach is also one of the best places to go swimming, snorkeling and surfing. This famous beach is packed with tourists in summer. During this time, you’ll see lots of people sun bathing, swimming and playing sports like beach volleyball and soccer. Near Ipanema is Capoeira, a lane famous for Brazilian hand-crafts, musical instruments and the Street Carnival.

Also, don’t miss to visit Copacabana, a small fishing village turned great when the Copacabana Palace Hotel was established. The resort divides this village into two beaches, Copacabana beach and Leme beach.
