Florence: Bellissimo

Spend your holiday in the beautiful capital city of the northern Italian region of Tuscany called Florence, known locally as "Firenze.” This wonderful city is undeniably one of the most popular tourist spots in the world today, attracting millions of visitors every year. People are drawn by its expansive artistic culture, especially museums. Here are some places that you would surely not want to miss.

Explore the hidden knowledge of the old in their Academy Art Gallery/Galleria dell'Accademia. This museum was founded in 1784 and contains some of the most beautiful and important Florentine artworks on earth. Found here is Michelangelo's famous "David" statue and visitors will be able to view some of the finest works from the 13th–16th centuries.

The world famous Uffizi Gallery/Galleria degli Uffizi museum houses some of the most famous paintings on the planet, from Florentine and other Italian artworks to various foreign pieces. There is an astounding array of classical sculptures found here too and one of the most special and beautiful section of the gallery is the fascinating collection of Florentine Renaissance art, dating from approximately the 1300s to the 1500s.

Check out the gorgeous fifteenth century Florentine palace Palazzo Gondi, built by Giuliano da Sangallo from 1490 to 1501, and completed by Poggi centuries later in 1874. The courtyard in front of the palace is one of the loveliest from the Renaissance and be sure to check out the meticulous craftsmanship of the fountain.

The Madrid Charm

Visit the beautiful and biggest city in Spain known as Madrid. It is indeed a place with rich history, culture, traditions and noticeably Castilian charm making it an attractive destination for many tourists. There are numerous places to explore when you are touring Madrid. Anyway, here are some of your best bets for sightseeing.

Experience the exotic feel of the well-known Arab Wall, one of the oldest parts of Madrid with streets and buildings that are about a thousand year old. Unlike what most people believe, Spain has always had a strong connection to Arab culture since the ancient times to prove this, think about the Mosque of Cordoba in Spain.

Be captivated by the historic El Palacio Real, a royal palace that has a rich history, from the Arabs to the Austrians and then onto the Spaniards. Get a glimpse of the amazing Royal Quarters and also the majestic Throne Room which is adorned with exquisite stucco and mosaics.

If you want to see some classic nineteenth century royal architecture, then go to Casa de America, Palacio de Linares. This is a stunning house from the nineteenth century believed to be "haunted" by Madrid locals. Palacio de Linares is composed of a library, auditorium and rooms for exhibits.

The Santorini Kind of Adventure

One of the oldest and most spectacular places to visit in Europe is Greece. It is where we can find historical landmarks, peoples and events, dating as far as before Christ's time.

We know Greece that way, but looking more closely, you will find the most unique, heavenly most beautiful place on earth, Santorini.

Santorini is an island among other islands within a circle, formed from volcanic eruptions some 1500 years ago. Being formed from volcanic activities, Santorini became a unique landscape with one hand, the hilly darkish rock formations and on the other, various beaches and small, white dome-top villages.

Apart from these are monuments and other structures formed from Thira, an active volcano which is still producing these magnificent land masses until today.

The famous white structures and shops are kept near one another on and over the cliff of the center of Thira's caldera. Among the most favorite tourists activity are hiking, relaxation, swimming, jet-skiing, scuba diving and shopping. Hiking trails are all over the island, walking can be very pleasant while doing window-shopping and sight-seeing.

During winter, the weather can be favorable to some visitors (no crowds), so you can expect to see less crowding on public places. Summer temperatures can reach 40C or 110F. Guests can ride ferry boats to get to the central island, visit new islands and bathe in hot springs.

Where Clouds Are on Top of Table Mountain

Cape Town, one of the most famous and romantic places in the world, is a bustling city in Southern Africa but hidden behind the hustles and bustles of the urban community sits a grand, breath-taking sight, the Table Mountain.

By the name itself, Table Mountain is a table-shaped, flat mountain. Hence this beautiful back drop is a plateau frequently engulfed with clouds, and taking center stage right in the middle of the city, dividing Cape Town into into different areas with nature parks, gardens, wilderness, forests, hiking trails, vineyards and ideal residential zones lining on its lower slopes.

When you reach the top, you will behold a scenic, breath-taking, powerful beauty of nature fused perfectly with the humans' structural innovations.

From top you will see the whole of Cape Town - NORTH, city centre with its docks crowded with matchbox ships; WEST, beyond Twelve Apostles mountain range, Africa's luxury real estate properties; SOUTH, are vast forests, historical vineyards, amazing Botanical Gardens and scenic gardens along the slopes; EAST, are industries, colourful townships and black ghettos.

So when you're there, get the most of the time and take all the picturesque shots.
