The Madrid Charm

Visit the beautiful and biggest city in Spain known as Madrid. It is indeed a place with rich history, culture, traditions and noticeably Castilian charm making it an attractive destination for many tourists. There are numerous places to explore when you are touring Madrid. Anyway, here are some of your best bets for sightseeing.

Experience the exotic feel of the well-known Arab Wall, one of the oldest parts of Madrid with streets and buildings that are about a thousand year old. Unlike what most people believe, Spain has always had a strong connection to Arab culture since the ancient times to prove this, think about the Mosque of Cordoba in Spain.

Be captivated by the historic El Palacio Real, a royal palace that has a rich history, from the Arabs to the Austrians and then onto the Spaniards. Get a glimpse of the amazing Royal Quarters and also the majestic Throne Room which is adorned with exquisite stucco and mosaics.

If you want to see some classic nineteenth century royal architecture, then go to Casa de America, Palacio de Linares. This is a stunning house from the nineteenth century believed to be "haunted" by Madrid locals. Palacio de Linares is composed of a library, auditorium and rooms for exhibits.
